The February 2018 edition of The Rotarian magazine arrived at my house about a week ago.  This monthly publication is always full of inspiring and informative stories. But, this month was exceptionally good with its emphasis on the theme of peace.  If you haven’t taken the time to browse through the stories, here are a few that I recommend to each of you:
  • Jimmy Carter’s Vision for Peace – An interview with the 39th U.S. President discusses his humanitarian work in the 37 years since he left office
  • Migration Challenges Inspire Peace Fellow – Q&A with Rotary Peace Fellow Linda Low and her study of the connection between the environment and peace
  • Axes of Kindness – Short article regarding an incredibly unique fund raiser by the Rotary Club of Philadelphia Happy Hour (great name, right?) to benefit the New Day Center – a Salvation Army-sponsored drop-in center that helps women and girls being trafficked for sex
Yours in Rotary,

Burt
